MadWaves MadPlayer Mac X 10.7 10.13 Midi Driver Installation - Part 1

MadWaves MadPlayer Mac X 10.7 10.13 Midi Driver Installation - Part 1

I have resurrected my interactive regenerative handheld algorithmic loop-based music composition device the MadWaves MadPlayer.  The MadPlayer was released in 2002 and was well received by regenerative music composers like Brian Eno et al.  It originally came with its own software control application for Mac and PC but this rapidly became outdated and the drivers were not compatible with the newer Mac or PC systems.

What makes the MadPlayer great is that it has a built in Polyphonic Sound Module, Drum Machine, Bass, and synth pads.  given its size and low cost, I became interested in using it as a 'Midi Sound Module' controlled from my Mac.  So I have developed a newer Midi Driver and Graphic Icon and tested it extensively on Apple OS X 10.7 to 10.13.  This video was created using Apple OS X 10.13.1 High Sierra.

The driver is available for a few dollars at: http://www.fixed1t.co.uk/fixed1t_circuitbent_n_tweaks.htm

Just donate what you think its worth to you to get your mad player working again on your Mac (rather than it getting old and sticky on the shelf or in a draw) and send me an email if your haven't added it to your Paypal donation and I will send you the driver zip file.  Please don't give this away to others as it took a lot of sorting out and time so a few dollars back seems fair to me and will encourage me to added some more features.

In part 2 I'll show you how to use it.

Thanks #fixed1t

Wowwee Robotics FlyTech DragonFly Repair - Part 2

This video is about Wowwee Robotics FlyTech DragonFly Repair - Part 2

The beautiful radio controlled Dragonfly is made to flap its wings like a real Dragonfly for flying on still days or in large halls.

These were really popular from new having a large battery operated Remote Control that also contained and power supply lead to charge the Dragonfly's small internal lipo rechargeable battery.

But this Wowwee Dragonfly will not charge. So with razorblades in hand I set about finding out why?

This is a perfect specimen with all its parts, but sadly the glue on the box has deteriorated and the protective plastic has fallen in.  These were really popular from new having a large battery operated Remote Control that also contained and power supply lead to charge the Dragonfly's small internal lipo rechargeable battery.

For some reason they were not sold for very long, I opened this one to see if it still works.

For some reason they were not sold for very long, I'm opening this one to see if it still works so I can fly it in the hall of a youth club for additional needs young adults.

Fixing Wowwee Robotics RSV2 Robosapien V2 Part 11 - He Gets Up

This video is about Fixing Wowwee Robotics RSV2 Robosapien V2 Part 11 - He Gets Up

I've been further Investigating Lying Down And Sitting Up Behaviour To Identify Any Age Related Abilities Affecting His Description(Part C)

Having repaired the wiring on my latest Robosapien V2 it has come to my notice that some of the repaired White V2's have difficulties getting up off the ground.  As I love science and research I thought I'd take a structured approach to the problem and see if various hypotheses were or were not correct.  The

1st: they can have a problem getting up

2nd: NMH Rechargeable Batteries are too light to get them up

3rd: If I put Alkaline Batteries in him for the test he almost sits up

4th: Wiring And Sensor Interference can cause him not to sit unaided

5th: Wiring routing can affect flexibility

6th: Some of the old springs aren't as strong as they were

In order to check this I removed the Robots Pants and Jacket so the wiring to the legs could be exposed and viewed to ensure it isn't too tight. I also check the springs were working and replaced those which seemed weak.

The result is a Robosapien V2 that can SHIFT1 - D and lie down and sit up.
