Having repaired the wiring on a Robosapien V2 it has come to my notice that the repaired White V2's have difficulties getting up off the ground.  As I love science and research I thought I'd take a structured approach to the problem and see if various hypotheses were or were not correct.  The

first is: he does have a problem

second: NMH Rechargeable Batteries are too light

third: I've put heavy Alkaline batteries in him for this test

forth: Wiring And Sensor Interference

In order to check this I removed the Robots Pants and Jacket so the wiring to the legs could be exposed and viewed to ensure it isn't too tight.

Robosapien V2 - Which Batteries To Use New Alkaline Or Charged Nickel Me...

A number of people are buying these great old Humanoid Robots but finding out they don't seem to do everything they used too, the Robosapien V2 Humanoid Robots were designed to work with Heavy Alkaline Batteries, the reason for this is that they are very Top Heavy and their movements are brought about by Pulleys, Springs and Motors all in the upper body.  Therefore to counter-balance this weight in their upper body they need weight in their feet.  A size Alkaline batteries are heavier than rechargeable, the question is how heavy.

Faulty Robosapien Robot Trying Kiss Its Own Backside

I'm repairing a robosapien V2 leg wiring, but it appears to have become haunted and unpredictable, when I switch it on rather than doing a proper 'Self Diagnostic' it attempts to stick its ahead own its own backside.  Perhaps it knows best, when I was a soldier doing Nucleur drills a Sergeant asked us to take detailed notes as our liver may depend on his next few words.  "Sit on a chair, then lean forward as far as you can, and kiss your arse goodbye".  We all wrote it down LOL  Perhaps with North Korea about to play Nuke Roulette, the AI in this robot is getting their first and Kissing Its Arse Goodbye.  ;-)
