Fixing Broken Halloween and Christmas And Garden Lights

Fixing Broken Halloween and Christmas And Garden Lights that have been tangled up and pulled apart roughly. There are lots of fancy led lights on sale for Halloween, Christmas or for garden and other parties. Although relatively cheap as a one off they tend to be purchased in bulk and when they are being put away they tend to be thrown in bags or boxes with or within dying or dead batteries inside. For some spooky sub-atomic reason, however carefully they are collected together they always seem to tangle themselves together in such a way as to make the user lose patience trying to pull them apart. This often involves ripping out one or other of the wires from the powerpack in an attempt to untangle them. Such was the fate of these Halloween LED Bat lights and rather than throw them away, this is how I set about fixing them. How To Fix Cracked And Broken Plastic Box Lids

Most storage box plastic doesn't recycle and becomes brittle over time. These box usually break when taking the lids on and off and my wife had two boxes which suffered such breakages. Rather than throw them out, and them end up in landfill, I decided I'd fixed1t applying a think layer of Flexible Hot Glue from a hot glue gun, but hot glue by its nature leaves and ugly mess. Here is how to make it look better whilst at the same time strengthening the bond and fix. Here is how I do it. Malcolm aka  @FIXED1T

How To Teardown A Cubee Robot Speaker For Servo Repairs - Part 4 Replaci...

Cubee Robot https://amzn.to/3hny6x7 Wowstick Screwdriver: https://ebay.us/qfO4kv Replacement Servo Used: SG90 Servos: https://ebay.us/Jqp6bb Polymorph Low Temp Plastic : https://ebay.us/1edDEu CellMeter 8 Servo Tester And LIPO battery discharger: https://ebay.us/FhwD5i After my Cubee Robot Bluetooth Speaker took a fatal dive at the floor, I am determined to fix my Cubee problems I found in Part 1. In Part 2 I tore down Cubee and I Identified that the right leg and hip servos were broken and needed to be replaced. In this Part 3, I replaced the Cubee right ankle servo, what I imagined would be a simple task of extracting the broken servo and swapping in a replacement took far longer and was more difficult than than I expected. In this part 4 I replaced the right hip servo which was indeed damaged. I always advise people to watch the entire video series if they wish to copy (at their own risk) what I have done, but in this case its crucial you do or I can almost guarantee you will make the same mistakes I did, or worse and as I have the tools and resources to correct things you may be left with a Cubee you broke. Simple Don't skip through this video series if you have a Cubee. Please don't forget to give a Thumbs Up, Share and most importantly Subscribe to this fixed1t channel by clicking the subscribe button to be informed about Part 3 - Where I will be replacing the right ankle servo. Dancing Cubee Robot After #fixed1t Repair

I had somebody ask why I bothered to fix these £60 robots when they broke, they asked why I didn't just throw them away and get another.

To me its not about money, I can easily afford to buy new, its about not contributing to the rubbish mountains for broken electronic gadgets and toys, It's about fixing things so they can be passed on to new owners, who maybe couldn't afford the original full price, but can afford a second hand device, and imagining their joy when the open the boxes and find not a damaged seconded hand robot but one which is better than new. # Its also the joy of fixing that which is broken. My Cubee robot is Dancing and Singing as new after #fixed1t successfully replaced all four of his leg and hip servos damaged when he dived off my desk whilst I was using him as a bluetooth speaker to demonstrate my MadWaves MadPlayer. There is a link to the repair video series in the top right hand corner of the video.

If you have Tiktok You can find Cubee and many other of my dancing robots their, just search for #fixed1t.

Unboxing CellMeter 8 Servo Testing Battery Discharge Checker

Unboxing and servo testing a CellMeter 8 Battery Voltage Capacity Checker, Balance Discharger/Servo Tester. This unit provides a quick way to test 5v servo's instead of setting up an Arduino or other micro processor, where a software or programming bug could give false results about Servo's. Its far better to know the servo is working before you start a project than to be writing and rewriting code or building new circuits believing your code is faulty when its a dead or damaged servo.
